Welcome back after a well-deserved holiday!

In K2AvS there were many exciting events this week, starting with new units from our curriculum to spending time in the kitchen creating “spider” cookies to enhance our Maths curriculum by counting,  but at the same time having so much fun and wishing one another a Happy Halloween with our Maths-Halloween Spiders! A huge thank you to Ms. Belinda and Ms Lipika for leading this activity. And still the fun did not end! Just as we wanted to start our reflection time at the end of the day, we were pleasantly surprised by our Mystery Reader, aunt Pauline that arrived. She is Adam’s aunt visiting from England. Thank you aunt Pauline for taking the time to come in and read to us!

The students are amazing swimmers, and enjoyed the time in the swimming pool on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thank you to all our Moms who came in to support us during our swimming lessons in PE.
A friendly reminder that we will be swimming again on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

In our Unit of Study the new topic is “Where we Live shapes How we Live.”  Please e-mail or send in a photograph of your house as this will be used to lead our interviews. We also need shoeboxes for one of our activities for this unit. Please help!

We are keen mathematicians who continue to count and compare, and we this week we have also spent time on measuring with tens rods.

Thank you for your support at home with listening to your child reading every evening. Keen readers also become authors with great ideas.

Looking forward to another exciting week of learning!
