Serhan shared his Kuma Cambodia experiences in class on Monday morning, and will continue his role as ambassador when he will be sharing at an Infant Assembly next week. Thank you for all the good work at Kuma Cambodia Serhan. You made us proud, and even shared a treat with us from Cambodia!
In our current unit on Animal Adaptations, we have been exploring animals, their characteristics and habitats and we have also been discussing what animals need to survive in the environment. Students did a survey about the different aspects of animals they would like to use in a book they will create in class.We also enjoyed working on our multi-media animal pattern squares, designing close up sections of animal skin/fur, focusing on camouflage of animals in their environment.
In Mathematics the students are becoming experts at inventing more and more complex growing patterns. Exploring patterns is evidently an enjoyable experience but it is an essential building block in understanding about number.
During Reading Workshop and Writing Workshop students continue enjoying their time researching from their Non-Fiction books to write about topics they are passionate about. We are looking forward to sharing our books with you.
