Term 3 Week 2

The highlight this week was starting to prepare for the Arts Festival. Students went to the auditorium for the first time to see how to enter and exit the stage. We also created our own individual squares for our friendship blankets. The squares will be sewn together and the finished quilts will be presented to Happy Lodge and to Kuma Cambodia school. We were also able to create our symbols for the t-shirt we will be wearing on stage. Here is a sneak preview of what it will look like.

In Maths we are learning how to collect data, and to use information from the data to answer questions. We are also exploring the concept of probability, thinking about whether is is "likely", "unlikely", "certain" or "impossible" that something will happen and ways to represent and record this.

We also continue to read and write, studying our characters in our stories in more depth, and learning to write a persuasive letter using different topics.
