Visit to Kampong Buangkok
During our visit to Kampong Buangkok on Tuesday, students became aware of the fact that although our homes might LOOK different, there are similarities and things that we all need, for example a shelter, food to eat, clothes to wear, but most of all that we all need a loving home to go to every day.

Kitchen
In the kitchen we were very creative and had the opportunity to make “snowmen” by using bananas, and other yummy ingredients… for those who did not want to eat the bananas, our moms were kind enough to also help us create a special cookie with sprinkles on. A big thank you to Ms. Nida (Ethan W’s mom) and Ms. Ritu (Shristi’s mom) for helping us be creative in the kitchen today.

Uniting Nations Day
Lastly, the children are VERY excited about Uniting Nations Day next week. On the day, they are invited to wear a costume that typifies their nationality. This might be a national costume or, simply, colours that represent their nationality. Please ensure that the children wear something which is easy to move around in. All staff will be in costume and parents are also encouraged to dress in their national costume! The Food Festival is also a big part of UN Day. To reduce waste, we are asking each child to bring to school a small plastic container (Tupperware style) to collect their food in. A plastic fork or spoon would also be helpful. Please note that, due to space restrictions, the Food Festival is only for students and not for parents.
